Cozy Soup Roundup

Cozy Soup Roundup

We are almost there! Fall is peeking its head around the corner! I’m someone who hangs on to every last second of the summer sun BUT also gets to a point where I’m ready for all things cozy. Give me hot lattes, cozy soups, and my favorite hoodies! To get ready for the coming season, here are my top 5 favorite soups that I make for my family :)

1) French Onion Soup by Tastes Better From Scratch

This soup is sooooo good! French Onion soup is my husbands favorite soup of all time! He always orders when he sees it on menus while dining out. And no offense to the canned stuff…this recipe is so much better. I was stoked to find some gluten free baguettes from Against the Grain at one of our local grocery stores so that I could enjoy this too. This will FOR SURE be a part of our Fall/Winter soup rotation!

2) Lasagna Soup by A Farmgirl’s Dabbles

This soup hits all the cozy Italian vibes! The kids loved this as well. I haven’t tried to make this gluten free yet but will definitely be experimenting soon. The “cheesy yum” is THE BEST PART! Next time I make this, I will be making a GF garlic bread to eat with! Perfect soup for dunking!

3) Zuppa Toscana by Farmstead Chick

This is my tried and true go-to soup! I found it while doing a Whole30 a couple of years ago and now make it multiple times during the colder months. Don’t let it being Whole30 fool you. It’s amazing! And you can always use heavy cream instead of coconut cream if you prefer the full dairy experience. I also like to cut the potato amount in half and add cauliflower to make it a little lighter.

4) Easy Tom Kha Soup by Unbound Wellness

This is a new favorite as of last year and let me tell you….I’ll be making it for years to come! This can easily be made vegan or vegetarian. Or do as I do, and add shredded chicken to it! The star of the show is the lemongrass! Do not skip that!

5) Healing Chicken Soup

This is a recipe my mother has altered over the years. I like to make it in big batches and freeze off portions. When you are under the weather and just need some chicken soup love, there’s nothing better than just walking to the freezer and defrosting this easy soothing meal. The recipe doesn’t call for noodles. But every once in a while I’ll cook up some rice noodles separately for myself or little pasta stars for the kids. The noodles are easy to add at the time you defrost the frozen goodness!
